Nice staff, nice rooms and lovely pool

What they say about us

Nice staff, nice rooms and lovely pool

We have just spent 2 nights in our first time to Dodoma. We were pretty worried after reading the reviews for the hotels in this city but we went for st gaspar as we had 2 daughters and wanted a pool for them.
We were very happy when we arrived. Staff very pleasant ( though nobody helped us with the luggage) and rooms good size and good bed and hot water so that is all we needed. The pool is just great and our kids loved it.
The only big dissapointment was food. We had dinner the first night but had to look for another place the second day. I think they could improve the menu and the cook. The chicken the first night was awful and could not eat it and had to leave it on the plate ( was not particularly cheap).

Hotel is far from town but we did not mind at all. We think the location is just great and we could sleep like babies.
We will come back here! [...]

A restful and spaciuos out of town place

I initially thought the place fairly overpriced but the staff won me over as they were friendly and quite helpful (maybe even too helpful). The rooms are quite spacious and comfy. The bathrooms could do do with some improvements as the hot water is lukewarm and the shower restricts full flow of water.

The meals are pretty good and reasonably priced however there is sometimes quite a wait. The breakfast was extensive and overall okay. They also have a number of conference rooms that would make an office retreat ideal.

I really enjoyed the fact that the hotel is spacious and that it has beautiful grounds and a large swimming pool which tends to attract the weekend family crowd. The internet worked most times and was fairly fast however it did disconnect on a number of occasions.

The only thing maybe that I noted is that it kinder far out of town, which while it may make it a nice and quiet spot it can be quite bothersome when you need something from town like attending an event in town, changing money or Mobile money agents or bank services etc.

Nice Hotel to stay in Dodoma

It felt good to find accommodation for 16 pax after an emergency (plane engine failed to start so we couldn't fly from Dodoma to Dar). Dodoma hotel rooms are often full occupancy during parliament sessions but here chances are you will find rooms available (they have lots of them). Rooms are nice and modern. You will sure have a good night's sleep [...]

Best in the greater Dodoma area

If you don't mind staying on the outskirts of Dodoma, this is definitely the best option in town. I used to stay at the New Dodoma Hotel before but the constant noise levels there at night and the general lack of cleanliness prompted me to look for something else. I was very happy when I found this place. It is very quiet here, the grounds are large and well-kept and the rooms and bathrooms are really clean. The managers are also very helpful to assist in any matter.

The hotels has recently build and added a nice big swimming pool and the bar at the big baobab tree outside is also nice.

Breakfast at this hotel is good. Always fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, bacon etc. Definitely much better than at the New Dodoma Hotel. Evenings can be tricky though. Due to the low occupancy rate of the hotel, they often only serve one dish or they cater for day conferences. In my opinion this is not a problem though as Dodoma town can be reached by taxi in a couple of minutes and one can eat at the Chinese restaurant at the New Dodoma Hotel or the pizza place Leone L'Africano.

At this hotel you will definitely have clean rooms and a quiet environment. I love the open grounds and the fact that you can go for walks in the evening in the less populated areas of Dodoma, where there still is some nature left. [...]

Good place to stay…

Nice place. Good and tidy rooms. Pleasant place. No disturbance. Very calm place. Worst part is you won't get mobile network at this place. Mobile internet is a challenge. Business center is not that great here.

Some time ago when I traveled and stayed here, I had to send an urgent FAX. the staff did not co-operate in our troubled time. They did not show even concern to help the guest even after we repeatedly requested them to take money for the FAX services. They were so adamant and heartless. Gave strange looks at us and avoided us. Would never stay again with this property [...]

One of the best in Dodoma

Myself and my wife stayed in this hotel on our way to singida. This is the second time for us to stay in this hotel, although a little bit away from downtown (some 10 min drive on the main road to dar es salam), we found this hotel very quiet and safe with a good compound and guard for cars. It is clean and you always get hot water. The hotel is 2 or max 3 star hotel but is adequate in this part of the world. It is clean and maintained very well

Breakfast is not that great but at least you can try some african food

overall highly recommended [...]
